Turn your internship into a career opportunity

HEABC’s Industrial Relations internship program provides recent graduates with hands-on, meaningful work experiences and face-to-face opportunities to prepare you for a career as:

  • Labour Relations Officer/Advisor
  • Industry Lead
  • Mediator/Arbitrator
  • Negotiator
About the program

HEABC’s 12-month paid internships will include a rotation at HEABC’s Vancouver office where interns will work as part of a team of industry specialists learning the complex and dynamic ropes of health care labour relations in collective bargaining and negotiations, contract interpretation, hearings and arbitrations and involvement in committee work. The program is designed to expose interns to a variety of human resources and labour relations issues affecting BC’s public employers as well as the opportunity to work jointly with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally in the field. Interns will also have the opportunity to work at the operational level with a rotation at one of the province’s six health authorities, an affiliate member organization or other employer association.
